🌮🌮🌮 RECIPE | Cooking Vegan Tempeh Tacos Live | GLUTEN FREE | With Bloopers 🌮🌮🌮

Greeting every one - this is the first live cooking show ihave done on youtube in a long time.

▐RECIPE▐

====Vegan Tempeh Tacos- GLUTEN FREE====

►INGREDIENTS:

1 8oz block of your favorite tempeh

garlic powder

your favorite taco seasoning

salt to taste

water or veggie stock

lettuce

onions of your choice (preferably red opnion)

Soy sauce or Tamari (gluten-free)

Avacado

lime

corn tortillas

======Some notes======

♪make sure you adjust the salt content to be low in the beginning so when you add the soy sauce the "meat" the Tempeh will not be as salty

♫Also make sure you adjust your taco seasoning to your spice level in SMALL increments- you dont want to over power the "meat" aka tempeh

Indonesian Spicy Tempeh - Vegan and Gluten Free

INDONESIAN SPICY TEMPEH

(Sambal Goreng Tempeh)

This is a delicious tempeh dish from Indonesia that blends cubes of tempeh in a delightful spicy sauce. It is not too chilli hot – just super flavoursome...

The sauce is sautéed to bring out the flavours of the ingredients which include;

- chilli,

- tamarind

- garlic

- shallots

- kaffir lime leaves

- coconut palm sugar

- sweet soy sauce

This is a healthy dish - it is whole food plant-based, gluten free, has no added oil and is full of plant based protein.

Do try making this dish – you won’t regret it !

INGREDIENTS (4 servings)

One packet of tempeh (225 g)

▪️4 large red chillies, de-seeded and chopped

▪️6 shallots, chopped

▪️5 cloves of garlic, halved

▪️5 kaffir lime leaves, torn

▪️1 tbsp tamarind paste

▪️A pinch of salt

▪️1 tsp of palm sugar

▪️1 tbsp of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis or similar)

▪️Water .

METHOD

Cut the tempeh into small cubes.

Dry fry the Tempeh in a non-stick frypan. Alternatively - bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 C (350 f) until brown.

Mix the tamarind paste with 2 tbsp of boiling water and put it aside.

Add the chillis, shallots and garlic into a food processor with a splash of water. Blend into a paste.

Fry the paste in a frying pan. Add the tamarind, palm sugar, lime leaves salt and sweet soy sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes until it thickens.

Add the tempeh and keep simmered g for another 10 minutes.

The sauce will dry out and coat the Tempeh.

Serve with rice.

RECIPE

4 Tbsp. gluten-free soy sauce

2 Tbsp. rice vinegar

2 Tbsp. water

1 Tbsp. organic brown sugar

1/2 Tbsp. corn starch

1/2 tsp. sesame oil

1 Tbsp. vegetable oil (or other high-heat oil)

1 (8oz.) pkg. gluten-free tempeh, cubed

1 orange bell pepper, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 Tbsp. fresh ginger, peeled and minced

2 green onions, chopped

1/2 cup cashews

Sesame seeds

Cooked rice

To a bowl, add soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, brown sugar, corn starch, and sesame oil. Whisk well and set to the side. To a wok over medium heat, add vegetable oil, and tempeh. Cook until the tempeh starts to brown, about 8 minutes. Add orange pepper, garlic, and ginger-- continue to cook about 3 more minutes. Add sauce, green onions, and cashews. Stir until the sauce starts to thicken-- a couple minutes. Serve over rice, topped with sesame seeds. Makes about 3 servings.

If you want to know how to make vegan sausage, you came to the right place! In today's video, I'm going to show you a vegan sausage recipe, but not just any sausage, a vegan Italian sausage. Growing up Italian, I had a lot of sausage. After going vegan, it was something that I did miss having every now and then. When I decided to create a vegan Italian sausage recipe, I also wanted it to be a healthy sausage recipe. Since I'm using tempeh as a base, it was easy to make it gluten free. Now that I had the gluten free sausage part down, I wanted to create a oil free sausage recipe as well. By using a combination of tamari sauce and vegetable broth, I was able to make this happen. Excite to share this easy to make vegan sausage recipe with you today!

orange tempeh (vegan & gluten-free) Something Vegan

RECIPE

Sauce:

3/4 cup fresh orange juice (I needed two oranges to get enough juice)

1 Tbsp. gluten-free soy sauce

1 Tbsp. rice vinegar

1 Tbsp. corn starch

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp. fresh ginger, peeled and minced

1/2 Tbsp. organic brown sugar

Zest of one orange

1/4 tsp. sesame oil

A pinch or two crushed red pepper

1 Tbsp. canola or vegetable oil

16 oz. tempeh, cubed

Salt and pepper

Toppings:

Green onions

Sesame seeds

To a bowl, add orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, corn starch, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, orange zest, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper. Whisk well, and set to the side. Heat canola oil in a large non-stick pan over medium- high heat. Add tempeh, and season with salt and pepper. Sauté until golden- this only takes a few minutes. You don’t need to flip the tempeh constantly, just make sure to turn it a few times. Add the orange sauce (give it a quick whisk before adding to make sure it is still well combined). Stir the tempeh with the sauce, and continue to let cook until the sauce thickens and coats the tempeh (about a minute). Serve over rice, topped with green onions, and sesame seeds. Makes about 3 to 4 servings.

Vegan & Gluten Free Pancakes W/ Maple Tempeh

So good! Be sure to try out your fave past breakfast memories in a new way!

With so many new vegan and delectabe goodies on the market being healthier and meat free never was easier, nor did it taste so good!

Whats your favorite child hood mealtime memory? How do you incorporate it into your lifestyle as an adult?

Tips for staying healthy:

-Try a meatless monday meal plan.

-Consume more water. Drinking your calories will inevitably add more inches to your waist line.

-Eat a larger breakfast, a mid sized lunch, and a small dinner. This will help you stay fit, and weigh less!

-Hold a push up or plank for 30 seconds while engaging your abs before consuming breakfast. If that feels good, try some crunches for a count of ten breaths while supporting your neck, and bending your knees. You will not only tighten and tone your stomach, but you will find yourself consuming less calories.

-Try simplifying your caffeine intake rather than cutting back on caffeine. Remove the sugar and the milk. If your drinking tea, try a squeeze of lemon to improve the anti oxidants. Caffeine is a good way to curb the appetite, and bring on natural anti oxidants.

-Listen to your appetite. If its saying I am full, save the rest of the meal for later.

-Food is natures medicine. Consuming the proper nutrients can taste good, as well as keep you pumped up and happy.

-Start a meal plan, and a food budget. Not only will you have plenty to eat, but your wallet will thank you.

-Take a walk after dinner. Follow it up with tea, and maybe some movies with the family. Simple. Easy. Quality time. Healthy.
